Hillsboro - Marion H. Cooper, 86, Hillsboro, died Tuesday morning at Culver Hospital. He was admitted to the hospital a week ago with a broken arm. Mr. Cooper was a 76-year resident of Fountain County. He was a farmer, oil distributor and served as Cain Township assessor for several years. He was a member of the Hillsboro Christian Church. Born at Hillsboro July 28, 1877, Mr. Cooper was the son of Austin Mann and Mary Jane Glascock Cooper. On March 19, 1905, he married Sarah Lucinda Bilsland at Covington. Survivors include the widow; two sons, Kermit of Wabash and Marion B. of Crawfordsville, and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Crumley Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Rev. Ross Kirk will officiate. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery at Hillsboro. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday afternoon and evening.

Cooper Funeral Rites Are Held At Hillsboro- HILLSBORO- Rev. Ross Kirk, pastor of the Hillsboro Christian Church officiated at the funeral service of Marion H. Cooper held at Crumley Funeral Home Thursday afternoon. Organ music was by Mrs. Lucy Crumley who also accompanied Mrs. Maxine Bever and Mrs. Pearl Hall, who sang, “Going Down the Valley” and “Precious Lord Take My Hand.” Serving as pallbearers and assisting with the flowers were Marion Glascock, Freeman Bilsland, Rudolph Bilsland, Marion R. Cooper, Joe Newman and Carl Epperson. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery Hillsboro.

Hillsboro - Funeral services for Marion H. Cooper, age 86, of Hillsboro, were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, at the Crumley Funeral Home here. The Rev. Ross Kirk officiated and burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery here. Mr. Cooper died Tuesday morning, Feb. 18, at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville where he had been admitted the week before with a broken arm. He was a 76-year resident of Fountain County. He was born at Hillsboro, July 28, 1877, the son of Austin Mann and Mary Jane Glascock Cooper. On March 19, 1905 he was married in Covington to Sarah Lucinda Bilsland, who survives. Surviving, in addition to the wife, are: two sons, Kermit of Wabash and Marion B. of Crawfordsville, and three grandchildren.
